Spring Tea Party Retreat
Get ready for a weekend of springtime sewing, creativity, and a little tea party fun! At this retreat, we’ll make five projects inspired by the beauty of spring, from quilted wall hangings to charming floral designs and a sweet tea cup pincushion.
Whether you’re trying a new technique or adding something special to your handmade collection, there will be plenty of inspiration and time to enjoy creating alongside fellow sewing friends.
During the retreat, you’ll create:
Two Quilted Wall Hangings – Stitch spring-inspired designs created by Bethany featuring a teapot and a flower.
Two Kinusaiga Floral Designs – Join our Scrap Swap Party! Bring quilting cotton scraps in spring and summer colors and prints to share with the group, then use your new finds to create these fun floral scrap-buster projects.
A Tea Cup Pincushion – Make a charming pincushion inspired by our Spring Tea Party theme.
You’ll receive step-by-step guidance from Bethany as you work through each project, with supplies and kits provided.
And of course, we’ll enjoy our own Noon Tea Time during the retreat - a chance to take a break, sip something delicious, and spend time together.
Your Retreat Includes
Comfortable Lodging: Three nights and four days of shared accommodations at the welcoming RobCo Retreat Center. Want to stay a little longer? Enjoy an optional fourth night at no additional lodging cost, with checkout on March 24.
Optional Bonus Night: Stay one extra night at no additional lodging cost! You’re welcome to continue sewing and enjoying the retreat center on Tuesday, March 23, with checkout by 10am on Wednesday, March 24. This is an optional open-sew day with no scheduled projects or retreat activities. An optional group dinner at a local restaurant is planned for Tuesday evening; dinner is at your own expense. This FREE bonus night was a gift from Tracy, owner of RobCo Retreat Center for this retreat only.
Home-Cooked Meals: Enjoy brunch and dinner daily, plus daily Noon Tea Time with light hors d’oeuvres. The optional group dinner on Tuesday evening is not included.
All Project Supplies: Everything you need for all five Spring Tea Party projects is included, so you can focus on sewing and having fun.
Retreat T-Shirt: A special keepsake to remember your time at the retreat and wear for fun group photos.
Swag Bag: Take home a bag filled with fun sewing-themed goodies.
Open Sew Time: Relax, socialize, or work on your own projects in a beautiful, welcoming space.

Personalized Instruction: Step-by-step teaching and hands-on support from Bethany throughout the retreat.
What You’ll Need to Bring
Your Sewing Machine: Bring your sewing machine and power cord. A ¼" piecing foot is highly recommended for your machine.
Your Favorite Sewing Tools: Bring your favorite scissors and snips, basic sewing notions, and the tools you love to use. All project supplies - including fabric, materials, and thread - are included in your project kits.
Scrap Swap Party (Optional, but Encouraged!): This is a great opportunity to purge a few scraps and discover something new from a sewing friend! Bring quilting cotton scraps in spring, summer, and neutral prints and colors for our floral designs. Please leave holiday-specific fabrics, such as Christmas and Halloween prints, at home.
Personal Projects: Bring any projects you’d like to work on during open sew time.
We’ll Provide
Cutting mats, rotary cutters, large rulers, and ironing stations will be available for everyone to use. You’re welcome to bring mini versions of these tools if you prefer to have them at your personal sewing station.

Nashville International Airport (BNA) is the closest major airport. It’s an easy drive, typically 35–45 minutes depending on traffic.
How do I get from the airport to the retreat center?
Attendees will be responsible for arranging their own transportation. Options include rental cars, ride-share services (Uber/Lyft), or coordinating with other attendees inside the private retreat Instagram group chat.
Are linens and towels provided?
Yes! The RobCo Retreat Center provides all bedding and towels. You only need to bring your personal toiletries and any comfort items you like to have with you.
Will I have a roommate?
Yes. Rooms are shared among attendees with 3 people per room each with their own private bathroom. If you’re joining with a friend and want to room together, you can let me know after registering and we will do our best to accommodate.
Is there WiFi at the retreat center?
Yes, the retreat center offers WiFi, but signal strength may vary between buildings since the property spans 14 acres. It’s generally reliable for emails, browsing, and basic use.
What type of sewing machine do I need to bring?
Any standard sewing machine is perfectly fine for this retreat. There are no special stitch or feature requirements for the projects.
Can I bring my own sewing chair or tools?
You’re welcome to! The retreat center has tables and seating available, but if you have a chair you love or specialty tools you prefer, feel free to bring them.
What’s the vibe of the retreat? Is it structured or relaxed?
Think of it as a guided but flexible creative weekend. We have structured project time each day, but there’s also plenty of open sew time, hangout time, and freedom to move at your own pace.
I’m a beginner, will I be able to keep up?
Absolutely. Classes are beginner-friendly, and I’m there to help everyone, step-by-step. The retreat is about enjoyment, growth, and connection - not perfection.
Is alcohol allowed?
Yes, you may bring your own beverages to enjoy responsibly during the retreat.
Are meals able to accommodate dietary restrictions?
Meals are prepared in a shared kitchen and we cannot guarantee accommodation for all dietary needs. Please contact us before registering if you have concerns.
Can I come early or stay late?
Check-in and check-out times are scheduled by RobCo Retreat Center. Early arrivals and late departures are not available unless specifically communicated otherwise.
Do I need to bring an iron or cutting mats?
Nope! Communal irons, ironing stations, cutting mats, and tools are provided. You only need your personal machine and notions.
Is there downtime?
Yes! You’ll have plenty of time to relax, walk the property, take photos, rest, or sew your own projects.
Can I bring my spouse/partner/kids/pet?
The retreat is limited to registered attendees only. Because space is reserved for makers, additional guests and pets are not permitted.
