Hi, I’m Bethany McCue - quilt pattern designer, retreat host, educator, and creative encourager.
I’m the host of the Sewcial Hour Podcast, where I connect with makers, share inspiration, and talk all things sewing and quilting. I’m also a Janome Maker, and I’m currently documenting my longarm quilting journey online as I grow my skills and explore new creative possibilities.
I host multiple beginner-friendly sewing retreats each year that focus on skill building, confidence, and community. My retreats are designed to help makers learn something new in a supportive environment — while also giving plenty of time to sew, relax, and connect with other creatives. Traveling for sewing is truly a dream come true, and I feel incredibly grateful to bring people together through this work.
I am also a quilt pattern designer, and I love creating projects that teach techniques in a fun, approachable way. You can find tutorials, project inspiration, and behind-the-scenes content on my YouTube channel, where I share sewing education and creative encouragement.
When I’m not teaching, designing, or recording, you can usually find me with my two dogs, Gus & Biscuit, who fully believe they run the house. I’m also embracing life as an empty nester, as my son is now in college and enjoying this exciting chapter of independence.
Sewing has given me community, confidence, creativity, and connection - and my passion is helping others experience that same transformation.
