January 22ā24, 2027
Join Bethany for a three-day virtual sewing retreat designed to help you finally sew the beautiful precut fabrics you've been saving! Spend the weekend learning new techniques, creating fun projects, making sewing friends, and enjoying dedicated sewing time all from the comfort of your own sewing room.
Have You Ever Bought a Beautiful Precut...
and Then Wondered, "Now What Do I Make With It?"
You know the feeling. You fall in love with a gorgeous Jelly Roll, Layer Cake, Charm Pack, or Mini Charm at the quilt shop. You bring it home because it's just too pretty to leave behind... and then it sits in your sewing room waiting for the perfect project.
It's time to sew the pretty fabrics you've been saving!
The January Sew at Home Retreat is all about discovering new ways to use the precuts already in your stash. Over the weekend, we'll turn those beautiful fabrics into fun, beginner-friendly projects that look impressive but are surprisingly fun and approachable to make.
You don't need to make all of the projects. You don't even need to use the exact fabrics I used. Choose the projects that excite you, pull the precuts you love from your stash, and let's get sewing.

WHAT IS A SEW AT HOME RETREAT?
A Retreat You Can Attend Without Packing a Suitcase.
A Sew at Home Retreat is a full weekend dedicated to you, your sewing, and your creative cup.
Instead of traveling to a retreat center, you'll create your own little retreat right at home. Set up your sewing space, gather your favorite snacks, put your phone on Do Not Disturb, let the laundry wait, and give yourself permission to step away from the everyday responsibilities that so easily take over your time.
Throughout the weekend, you'll learn new techniques and make projects with Bethany, but this isn't just a series of online sewing classes.
You'll sew alongside other retreaters, meet new sewing friends in small group sewing sessions, take breaks together, play games, stretch your body, hear from special guests from the sewing industry, and celebrate what you're making along the way.
You can work on the retreat projects, take your time, keep sewing when a project has you inspired, or even pull out another project from your sewing room when you need a change of pace. There is no pressure to finish everything.
The goal isn't perfection. The goal isn't checking every project off a list.
The goal is to spend a weekend doing something you love.
Because you deserve the time.
This is your permission slip to retreat.

Bethany's Retreat Kitchen Recipes
My personal collection of favorite quick and crock-pot recipes that can cook while you sew. Because retreating at home shouldn't mean spending your entire sewing weekend in the kitchen!
Small Group Sewing Sessions
You'll be placed into small breakout groups where you can sew, chat, show off your sewing space, share what you're working on, and make new sewing friends. These aren't just "breakout rooms"āthey're part of the retreat experience.
Games, Giveaways & Retreat Activities
What's a retreat without a little fun? We'll have sewing games, prizes, giveaways, movement breaks, and other surprises throughout the weekend.
Recorded Teaching Sessions
Can't make every session live? No problem. Your recorded retreat teaching will be available for 30 days after the retreat, giving you time to revisit lessons and keep sewing after the weekend is over.
READY TO GIVE YOURSELF THE WEEKEND?
Reserve your seat for the January Sew at Home Retreat.
GIVE YOURSELF PERMISSION TO RETREAT
Your Sewing Time Matters.
One of the hardest things about a Sew at Home Retreat is that you're still at home.
The laundry is still there. The grocery list isn't going anywhere. Someone may need dinner. There are always a dozen other things you could be doing.
But if you were traveling to an in-person retreat, you wouldn't be going home between sewing sessions to fold laundry, make dinner for everyone, or catch up on work. You'd be on retreat.
So I want you to treat this weekend the same way.
Set your work email to out-of-office. Let your family know that you're unavailable. Put your phone on Do Not Disturb. Prep a few easy meals ahead of time, or throw one of my favorite crock-pot recipes in before we start sewing.
Give yourself permission to step away from the things that can wait and spend this weekend doing something that fills you back up.
You only get out of a retreat what you're willing to put into it.
You are worth the time. You deserve the time.
So close the laptop on everything else... and open the door to your sewing room.
It's time to retreat.
HOW THE WEEKEND WORKS
Three Days. One Weekend. All About Sewing.
You don't have to travel, pack a suitcase, or leave your sewing room to experience a retreat.
The Sew at Home Retreat is designed to give you the structure and energy of a retreat weekend while letting you sew from the comfort of home. Throughout the weekend, we'll mix teaching, sewing time, small group connection, games, guest presenters, breaks, and plenty of opportunities to ask questions.
FRIDAY
NIGHT
Kick Off Your Retreat
We'll officially open the retreat Friday evening with a fun welcome, introductions, your first project, games, giveaways, and your first Small Group Sewing Session. It's the perfect way to settle in, meet your fellow retreaters, and get your sewing weekend started.
SATURDAY
A Full Day of Sewing, Learning & Connection
We'll spend the day learning new techniques, working on the Jelly Roll Star Quilt, connecting with your small group, hearing from special guests, taking movement breaks, playing games, and enjoying dedicated time at your sewing machine.
SUNDAY
Sew, Celebrate & Wrap Up Your Retreat
We'll spend Sunday continuing the projects, learning, connecting, and enjoying our final day together. We'll end the retreat with a special closing celebration where we'll look back at what we've made, celebrate our weekend together, and send you home inspired to keep sewing.
YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE ONLINE EVERY MINUTE.
The weekend is intentionally designed with a mix of teaching, sewing, connection, breaks, and open sewing time.
You can keep sewing after a teaching session ends. You can step away for lunch or dinner. You can work in your sewing room before we officially start or continue after the day's sessions are over.
This is your retreat. Make it work for you.
MEET YOUR HOST
Hi, I'm Bethany!
I've been sewing for more than 35 years, and I've made it my mission to make sewing fun, approachable, and something you actually want to spend your time doing.
I've taught thousands of sewists through in-person retreats, classes, virtual events, and online tutorials, and one thing I've learned along the way is this:
There is more than one right way to sew.
I'll teach you the way I do it, but I'm never going to tell you it's my way or the highway. If you have a technique that works for you, I want you to use it. My goal isn't to make you sew like me.
My goal is to help you finish something you're excited to make and have a really good time doing it.
That's exactly what I want for you during this retreat.
Come ready to learn, laugh, sew, and make some new sewing friends. I'll take care of the rest.
Letās Sew together at Home!
LEARN FROM MORE OF THE SEWING INDUSTRY
Special Guests. New Techniques. More Inspiration.
Throughout the weekend, we'll welcome special guests from the sewing industry who will share their expertise, demonstrate helpful techniques, and give you a behind-the-scenes look at some of the products and tools we love.
You'll learn from people I know, trust, and am excited to introduce to you and there may be a few giveaways and special offers along the way, too.
Guest presenters for the January retreat will be announced soon.
